Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Ushers in New National Governing Council

On August 18, 2024, the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) held its Elective Convention in Blantyre, where a new National Governing Council was elected.

The newly elected leaders are as follows:

•⁠  ⁠Hon. Peter Mukhito - Secretary General
•⁠  ⁠Hon. Joseph Mwanamvekha - Vice President (Southern Region)
•⁠  ⁠Hon. Alfred Gangata - Vice President (Central Region)
•⁠  ⁠Hon. Bright Msaka, SC - Vice President (Eastern Region)
•⁠  ⁠Hon. Jappie Mhango - Vice President (Northern Region)
•⁠  ⁠Edgar Tembo - Treasurer General
•⁠  ⁠Mary Navicha - Director of Women
•⁠  ⁠Norman Chisale - Director of Youth

This team will serve for a five-year term.
